 Name and mission of organization 

Sustainable Energy Foundation (SEF)’s mission is to help transfer energy consumption of human activities into a sustainable mode. SEF would achieve this mission through steps that bring innovation and alternation to daily energy consumption, and bring good to the human society.

Why am I passionate

Growing up in a family where my parents always ask me to pay attention to the usage of water, light, and electricity, I am sensitive to the consumption of resources around me. I was told at a young age that the longer I keep the air conditioner in the summer, the more harm it is causing to the environment. After growing up, the climate changes have worsened, and I had the feeling that awareness of energy consumption among people could, and need to be further improved.

What we are going to do

SEF aims to build an ecosystem where users could generate, exchange, and preserve sustainable energy while bringing value to themselves.

• Daily activity optimization

• Energy recycling: if a user used less than a certain amount of electricity per month, the user is able to “resell” the unused portion for credit. The credit could be used toward other platform resources.

• Material credits: similar to energy recycling credits, if a user uses recycled/eco-friendly materials for grocery bags, lunch boxes, and records it on the platform, they will receive credits that could be used toward redeeming natural food/energy.

• Technology breakthrough

• Subscription models for resource-sharing within each community.

• Promoting solar system usage: users could use credits to access free solar system electricity generation.

• AI-driven resource management helper: helping users to plan energy usage in a most efficient way.

Sustainability of resources is a huge problem that would threaten the entire human race within decades. The scarcity of resources would become more severe if the human race does not switch from exploiting existing resources to generating sustainable ones. SEF would accelerate the transition by incentivizing communities to become responsible, helping on technology breakthroughs, and making the planet a better place.
